Epworth sponsors Cub Scout Pack 149 and Boy Scout Troop 2, offering children and youth opportunities for adventure, learning, and leadership. Scouting includes camping, hiking, service projects, outdoor exploration, and hands-on skill building. Boys and girls are welcome to participate in both programs.
Mission
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Cub Scouts
Cub Scouts is an active program for youth (both boys and girls) in kindergarten through fifth grade and their families that encourages learning, friendship and, most of all, getting out and having fun! Your child will join others in the same grade in a “Den” led by the adult partners and a Den Leader and have a Handbook of Adventures for their grade level.
All of the Cub Scouts and families in the Dens make up the “Pack”, also led by parents and volunteer leaders. With an emphasis on outdoor events, small gatherings, and activities with family, Cub Scouts is a great way to let your kids safely socialize, learn, and have fun.

Scouts BSA
Scouts BSA is the traditional Scouting program for boys and girls aged 11-17 years old. It is one of the oldest youth organizations in the United States, where young people can participate in various outdoor activities like camping, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, and much more! At Scouts BSA, we aim to teach young people:
- Character development
- Citizenship training
- Leadership
- Mental and physical fitness
