Create a community rooted in the biblical teachings of Christ to reflect God’s love and create an environment where everyone can experience the dignity and worth with which they were created

What We Do

The Radical Hospitality Ministry serves as one of Epworth’s core ministries. Its mission is to extend God’s love through genuine welcome, compassion, and service. The team works collaboratively with several sub-ministries to ensure every person who walks through Epworth’s doors feels included and valued.

Current sub-ministries include:

  • Greeters and First Impressions
  • New Members
  • Congregational Care
  • Prayer Team
  • Healing and Wholeness Service
  • Stephen Ministry
  • Communications
  • Fellowship Excite and Disciple (FED)
  • Wonderful Wednesday

The Radical Hospitality team meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM in Room 213, unless otherwise notified. The real work of this ministry takes place through its sub-ministries, which coordinate outreach, hospitality, and care across the church community.

The Core Ministry, led by co-chairs, supports these efforts by sharing updates from church council and strategic planning meetings and by encouraging collaboration between teams.

Goals

  • Build an environment where every person can experience the dignity and worth with which they were created.
  • Support and strengthen Epworth’s sub-ministries that promote connection, care, and belonging.

Get Involved

Individuals interested in Radical Hospitality can watch for sign-up opportunities shared through Epworth’s communication channels.

Sub-ministries such as FED and Greeters use sign-up systems and calendars to help organize volunteers. The Nominations Committee appoints one or two people to serve as Core Ministry Chairs or Co-Chairs, with a three-year commitment. Those interested in leadership roles are encouraged to speak with the pastor or the chair of the Nominations Committee.
