Epworth Preschool and Children's Day Out School Opening Safety Plan

The school plans to reopen on Monday, August 31 with the following practices put into place in response to the pandemic and to ensure the safety and health of students, parents, and teachers:

  • Smaller class sizes with Reduced Ratios: 1:9 maximum for preschool and 1:6 for Children's Day Out
  • Temperature checks at the door
  • Adding second entrance to school to ensure social distancing
  • Extra handwashing
  • Classrooms sanitized between am and pm use
  • Playgrounds sanitizes between each use
  • All classrooms deep cleaned each weekend
  • Teachers and adults will wear plastic shields or masks

Children's Day Out

About:

Epworth’s Children’s Day Out is an early preschool environment for two and three year old children. The program prepares children for their first school years by providing social and developmentally appropriate skills to be successful in a preschool setting .The program provides them with an opportunity to participate in activities, crafts, stories, art, and imaginative playtime, music and large muscle activities while developing social skills in a safe and caring environment. The state-licensed program operates Tuesday-Friday, 9-11:30am, September-May.

Registration Information:

Registration will open on February 3 for Epworth families, and February 9 for the general public. Registration forms can be printed below. You may also contact Jane Lyon, Preschool Director, at 419-214-3771 or fill out the contact form below to learn more about the program or to schedule a visit. Children need to be two to start the program. Otherwise, you will need to wait until they are two to register later in the school year. Children do not need to be potty trained.

Cost:

One morning/week: $70.00 per month
Registration fee: $50.00 per child or $90.00 per family. The registration fee is nonrefundable.
