Birth-Grade 5

Epworth’s education programs are designed to teach the vital importance of scripture to our children, youth, and adults and to lead them in their Christian walk. We want our programs to contribute to a strong, joyful journey of faith for all, and we are committed to sharing the good news of God’s love through Jesus Christ.

We welcome everyone to take part in our educational programs. Our teachers, youth advisors, children’s worship leaders, and ministers, with the strong support of our Christian Education staff and Education Work Area, are dedicated to providing a teaching ministry that will help each person who comes through our doors to grow in a life of faith and service.

We are committed to providing parents with the tools they need to raise Christian children. With the help of the congregation, we can assist them in powerful ways to provide strong faith examples for our children, the church of tomorrow.

Children are welcome at all of our worship gatherings. In addition, for those who are interested in kid centered programming, we provide childcare and faith formation programming during all of our Sunday morning services.

We have safety policies that include specialized training, background checks, and secure check-in procedures. The Parent Handbook is available in the church office and is also available at the bottom of this page. This handbook will outline our children’s programming, as well as, define all of our safety and security guidelines. Our hope is that you and your children feel safe, loved, and encouraged at Epworth UMC. We put family first and would love for you to join our family.

If you desire more information, any member of our education department would be happy to help.
