North Central Jurisdictional Conference

Please pray for Dr. Doug Damron and the West Ohio Jurisdictional Conference Delegation as they gather with other United Methodist leaders from across the mid-west in Peoria, Illinois from July 13-16 to elect four new bishops who will be deployed to serve the annual conferences from Ohio to the Dakotas.

The entire West Ohio delegation is comprised of 32 leaders from our annual conference (½ Clergy and ½ Lay). The work of the delegation will be largely spent interviewing the 14 declared candidates prayerfully discerning which ones have the gifts, graces, and experience to serve our church in this capacity. Our pastor was also nominated by Bishop Palmer and elected at the West Ohio Annual Conference in June to serve for the next four years as the West Ohio representative to the North Central Jurisdiction Mission Council.
