Epworth Preschool and Children's Day Out School Opening Safety Plan

Epworth Preschool is operating with the following practices put into place in response to the continued pandemic and the rise of the Delta variant to ensure the safety and health of students, parents, and teachers:

  • All adults entering the school, must where a face mask even if vacinated.
  • All teachers are vacinated but will wear face masks while teaching.
  • Temperature checks at the door. Must be below 100 degrees
  • Adding second entrance to school to ensure social distancing
  • Extra handwashing
  • Classrooms sanitized between am and pm use
  • Playgrounds sanitizes between each use
  • All classrooms deep cleaned each weekend
  • The preschool will keep the age groups seperatesd and eliminate treat. Water breaks will be given.
  • The preschool will notify the health department if anyone tests positive or has been exposed. We will follow the reccomendations given by the health department.

Epworth Preschool Safety Plan will be re-evaluated every 6-8 weeks through out the school year.

Epworth Preschool

About:

Epworth Preschool encourages children to develop physically, academically, emotionally, spiritually and socially in a Christian environment. The children learn through a variety of play based learning experiences as well as structured direct instruction learning. The children will participate in circle time, art, music, stories and large muscle movement. The school will carry out its educational philosophy through: group interaction, development of self-identity and self-worth, large and small muscle development, skills in perception and identification, skills in problem-solving and learning experiences in the academic areas of the Early Learning Standards written by the Ohio Department of Education.

This half-day, preschool program is staffed by professionally qualified early childhood teachers and is available from September-May to any three (three on or before 09/30/21 and potty trained), four or five year old child.

Morning Sessions

Days - Monday/Wednesday/Friday(3 days), Tuesday/Thursday(2 days), Monday-Thursday-"Getting Ready for Kindergarten"(4 days)
Time - 9-11:30am

Afternoon Sessions

Day - Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday (3 days) or Monday-Thursday-"Getting Ready for Kindergarten" (4 days)
Time - 12:30-3pm

Children must be of age to attend kindergarten in 2022 to attend the Monday-Thursday (4 days) am & pm sessions.

Extended Care

An extended day program is available for both morning and afternoon sessions from 11:30-12:30. Children will need to bring a packed lunch. See registration form for extended care rates.

Registration Information: 

Registration will open on January 31 for Epworth families, and February 6 for the general public. Registration forms can be printed below. Open House will take place on Sunday, February 6 from 1-3 p.m.

Cost:

Four days/week (M-T-W-TH am or pm) - $220 per month

Three days/week (M-W-F and T-W-TH am or pm) - $185 per month

Two days/week (T-TH am only) - $150 per month

Please note: There is a nonrefundable registration/activity fee of $115 for new students and $100 for returning students. May 2022 tuition is due by May 1, 2021 to secure your spot.

The guidance and management of Epworth Preschool will be in accordance with section 5101:212-22 of the Licensing Rules for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
