Dr. Scot Ocke

To Preach on November 12 @7pm

Dr. Scot Ocke serves as the District Superintendent for the Maumee/Watershed District of the United Methodist Church where he works with 106 Churches and numerous mission sites across the region.   He holds the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry Degrees from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.  He currently serves on several Boards and Agencies and is a member of the Board of Trustees for Lakeside Chatauqua on the shores of Lake Erie.  He and his wife Mary have been married for more than 32 years and are the parents of 4 children.  He is an avid fisherman and enjoys sailing the Great Lakes.

Dr. Timothy Bias

Dr. Tim Bias is the District Superintendent for the Capitol Area South District of the United Methodist Church. He is the former General Secretary of the United Methodist Board of Discipleship in Nashville, Tennessee where he oversaw the Upper Room and Discipleship ministries across our Denomination. Prior to that position he served as the Senior Pastor of Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio and the First United Methodist Church in Peoria, Illinois. During his tenure in Illinois, First UMC grew to one of the largest Congregations within the United Methodist Church with a membership of more than 5,000. Dr. Bias has served in the United Methodist ministry for 47 years and is the recipient of numerous awards including the prestigious Harry Denman Award from the Foundation for Evangelism.

Dr. Jocelyn Roper

Dr. Jocelyn Roper is the District Superintendent for the Miami Valley District of the United Methodist Church. Prior to that appointment she served at the Director of Diversity for the West Ohio Conference and the Assistant District Superintendent for Oho River Valley District. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Central State University and her Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry Degrees from United Theological Seminary. Dr. Roper has  served as a Church and Community Developer and is involved in numerous Boards and Agencies across our Denomination. She is the proud mother of 5 children and three grandchildren.

Bishop Will Willimon

To Preach on Palm Sunday March 28 @ 8:30, 9:45 and 11:00am

Bishop Will Willimon will join us on Palm Sunday 2021. He is currently Professor of the Practice of Christian Ministry and Director of the Doctor of Ministry Degree Program at Duke Divinity School.  He is the former Dean of the Chapel at Duke University and is considered by many one of America’s best known and most influential preachers. or eight years he served at the Bishop of the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church. His many books have sold millions of copies worldwide and he is Editor-At-Large of The Christian Century Magazine.
