Epworth will again host a Flu Shot Clinic for the Lucas County Health Department from 8am to 12:30pm in the Gym. Vaccinations are quadrivalent, covering four strains of the flu. The cost is $40, but it is also covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance. The Health Department will file the paperwork for you and no appointment is necessary. Bring your coverage information.
In order to keep things moving quickly and efficiently, we request that long-sleeved shirts and sweaters NOT be worn. The sleeve cannot be rolled up far enough onto the shoulder to properly deliver the vaccination. Please also allow at least 30 minutes if you plan to have it done before worship. Thank you!
This year, the Lucas County Health Department will NOT be administering the high-dose vaccine for those 65 and up as it will not be available yet.
