Are you a lover of opera? Know nothing about opera, but are curious? Pretty sure you dislike opera or slept through the last one you attended? Join Toledo pianist Heidi Clausius and four fabulous opera singers for “An Afternoon at the Opera!” hosted by Epworth United Methodist’s Artist Series. We promise that you will have a wonderful time, whether it’s your first time hearing opera or your hundredth.

On Sunday, August 7 at 3pm, Kirsten C. Kunkle – Soprano, Christine Amon – Mezzo Soprano, Gregory Ashe – Tenor and, Bradley Baker – Bass-Baritone, will take you on a journey into their worlds. They will present solos, duets, a trio, and quartet from some of the best known operas of our time. Descriptions of the arias and operas to which they belong will give listeners a banquet of music that spans over 200 years.  This concert is sure to hold everyone’s attention, from novices to connoisseurs.

The artists featured in “An Afternoon at the Opera!” are people who Heidi has encountered in her work as a collaborative pianist and teacher through her career. Kirsten was a piano student of hers in the 90’s, Christine and Gregory were fellow graduate students at BGSU and Bradley is the most recent singer to enter her world. She is beyond excited to share these amazingly talented singers with our community. Mark your calendars today to attend this fantastic event!
