WORDS OF GRATITUDE FROM HAITI
Kim Meadows and Jo Hartman are just returning from an action packed work week in Haiti and want to thank the Epworth family for your support of our many projects there.
Because of you . . .
- The kindergarten walls are built and the kindergarten wing now has three separate classrooms.
- Two additional classrooms have been added to the main school building so that Grades 1-6 each has their own classroom.
- The school children have received stuffed turtles with personalized notes (check out the Kingdom bulletin board for notes back to Epworth from the children of Haiti).
- The school children have received new undies thanks to our “Undies Sundays” project.
- The teachers and children have learned to play flute-o-phones and have 45 new instruments and a selection of music to share with each other.
- The teachers and children learned how to do origami in their first art class and have paper and patterns to do more.
- And the 50 boys and girls in Pastor Lusma’s orphanage have beautifully painted sleeping rooms for the first time ever.
Check the Narthex to see pictures from our amazing trip. And THANK YOU EPWORTH for a job well done!
