Team Recovery Aids in Understanding Addiction

Team Recovery’s support group – Families After Addiction and Death (FAAD) – meets at Epworth United Methodist Church on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30pm in the Family Life Center. Meetings also take place at ProMedica Toledo Hospital’s Kellermeyer Education Center on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30pm.

Those in recovery from heroin and opiate addiction and their loved ones, as well as those who have loved ones caught in the addiction or who have lost someone to overdose, all meet in one group to share insights and provide each other with support. No one is alone. In addition to support, guest speakers such as officers from DART – the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office Drug Abuse Response Team – bring education and insights about how they help people into recovery programs. Team Recovery is not limited to heroin and opiate recovery support. Anyone in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction is welcome, along with their families.

You do not need to fall into ANY of these categories to attend the meeting. If you just want to understand better the epidemic of heroin and opiate addiction, you are welcome to attend.
