Disaster Relief Efforts

YOU can help!

There are so many ways to assist our brothers and sisters effected by the Hurricane season and earthquakes:

  1. Donate to UMCOR
    • Donate online, click here.
    • Place cash or check in the UMCOR envelopes in the pew racks on Sunday and place in offering plate, or stop by the church office anytime between 8am-4pm. (Check memo line should read: Hurricane Harvey.)
  2. Make disaster relief supply kits:
    • For assembly and instructions, click here.
    • For a printable kit list, click here.
    • For the shipping label, click here.
      • Please only donate items requested!
  3. PRAY!
    • Please continue to pray for those whose lives have been impacted, but also for the Early Response Teams, disaster coordinators, and many volunteers who are working tirelessly to provide relief.
  4. In the future...
    • The Maumee Watershed District will be adopting a community outside of Houston so churches in our district can build enduring relationships together and offer transormative love of God to these specific areas. To prepare your youth group or mission team, a team leader must be trained as Volunteers in Mission(VIM). Three VIM Leader trainings will be offered:
      1. October 7 @ Circleville Community UMC
      2. October 21 @ Batavia Emmanuel UMC (near Cincinnati)
      3. February 17 @ Marion Epworth UMC
    • If you are interested, please contact Dick Lehto, Missions committee member, using the contact form below, who will be attending one of these trainings. Learn more!
