United Methodist Women
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church."
At Epworth, these United Methodist Women circles are continually welcoming new members.
Deborah Circle: Women from a variety of ages and stages, who desire friendship and Christian support, meet the 2nd Saturday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the Epworth lounge. Service projects are adopted as the need arises. Child care is available if needed. In recent years 'the Little Debbies' have been faithful supporters of the "Relay for Life".
Pricilla Circle: This group meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. for fellowship and service. We use our crafting skills to benefit many ministries in the church. Our primary focus is sewing for the Harvest Bazaar where all proceeds are distributed by UMW to various local charities. Other projects include making lap quilts and baby quilts for our congregation, walker bags, sensory pads and cancer caps for those in need. We also work with our church staff to provide seasonal banners or other sewing projects as needed. New members are always welcome so please join us for a fun way to be a blessing to others.
Possibility Circle(s): These are circles yet to be formed by women interested in meeting other women in an atmosphere of fellowship. New circles will determine goals and interests as well as find a convenient time to meet.
