MILESTONES are workshops for each grade level, preschool through sixth grade. They are designed to teach a faith concept to children and their parents. They are Sundays at 11:00. To sign up for any of the milestones, call the education office. Fourth Graders will experience Bible Mania September 29 with their new Bibles that they will receive at 9:45. First Graders learn about baptism November 20. Fifth Graders learn about stewardship on November 6, and what it means to be a good steward of the gifts that God has given us. On December 4, third graders are invited to attend their milestone, "Who is Jesus?" Sixth graders may attend the milestone on worship February 26. On January 8, second graders will learn about communion. On February 5, Kindergarten students will learn about prayer. Students who missed their milestone may attend a makeup session on March 11. All students who attend their milestone are invited to participate in the Children's Sabbath Service on March 6. They will be leading the congregation in worship, using what they have learned in their milestone. Preschoolers have their own milestone too. On May 6, AT 9:45, they will jump into the Bible and experience Bible stories in unique ways. One year, we might jump into the Old Testament, and the next year, we might jump into the New Testament. |
