OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES

Requesting Toothpaste Please

This outreach project started at Christmas 2008 and turned into an on-going ministry! We are currently collecting tubes of toothpaste to donate to Sylvania Healthcare. Please bring your donation to any FIF event or leave it in the Epworth office. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you want further information or would like to sign up to make the deliveries. We also accept cash donations and 100% will go towards purchasing of toothpaste. We have delivered 1,000 boxes of facial tissue, approximately 500 toothbrushes and 200 tubes of toothpaste since we started this ministry. Your contribution is greatly appreciated. Some of the residents don't have the resources for all these incidentals and they are greatly appreciative of the vists we make to them.

MONTHLY SOCIAL EVENTS

Bunco

Once a month the Friends in Faith women gather for a night of Bunco. If you've never played before, don't worry! We can teach you in minutes! The next opportunities to join us are: April 16 at Linda's house and May 17th at Martha's house.
We don't post last names/addresses on this page so This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to RSVP and confirm the location. We meet at 6:30 PM. Bring a side dish, appetizer or dessert to share and a tube of toothpaste to donate. Hope to see you there.

BOOK CLUB

Bridge of Sighsby Richard Russo.  The next Friends in Faith Book Club date is Tuesday, May 22 at 7:00pm in the Lounge.  We love to see new faces and always have interesting discussions over drinks and dessert.
Bridge of Sighsis classic Russo, coursing with small-town rhythms and the claims of family, yet it is brilliantly enlarged by an expatriate whose motivations and experiences—often contrary, sometimes not—prove every bit as mesmerizing as they resonate through these richly different lives. Here is a town, as well as a world, defined by magnificent and nearly devastating contradictions.
