The Furniture Ministry is in need of strong men and women willing to give an afternoon or evening, or a Saturday morning to load furniture that has been donated or is being selected by clients at the Furniture Mart. At this time, donation pick-up is done twice per month. Assisting clients loading vehicles on Selection Saturday is done once per month.

Most pick-ups are done in the evenings and usually require three to four people to do the loading. In the event of bad weather, a U-Haul truck will be rented to avoid damage to furniture.This is an opportunity to serve those in our local community who feel invisible and to give them hope as they put their lives back together. Currently, Epworth is serving clients from the YWCA Battered Women’s Shelter and the FOCUS agency. Extending services to other agencies will be evaluated in the future as more experience is gained in this new ministry.
