It's easy to see why Branson is known as the live entertainment capital of the world! The quality of entertainment, the sheer variety of choices, and the up-close-and-personal-feel make have earned Branson the distinction as one of the top 20 family vacation destinations in the country, according to the Associated Press. We will be traveling by Lakefront Lines Motor Coach, stopping in St. Louis on the way down and St. Charles on the way home. One of the many shows we plan to see is Noah: The Musical...a theater has been built in Branson just to accommodate this show. Check it out at www.sight-sound.com.

You may pick up a flyer in The Cloister on Sunday or click here to look over the details and then please contact Ruth Ann in the Education office at 419-531-4236 or by email with any further questions.

Explore Your Talents!

Do you feel like there is a budding artist in you, but are not sure how to coax it out?  We may have the answer for you.  After kicking off our year long healthy mind, body, and spirit programming with a successful drawing class taught by Frank Snug, Congregational Care invited you to participate in our further offerings: 2 courses for beginners in stained glass and then 2 (possibly 3) more in digital photography & editing taught by Epworth staff member Les Beland. These will be followed by a beginner's watercolor class taught by his daughter, Bess Hudson.

We are so pleased that all of these remaining classes rapidly filled up and are currently underway. We have some photos from the first stained glass class...more will soon be available from the other offerings.

Epworth United Methodist Church

Sunday, May 11: Epworth Welcomes Bishop Nkulu Ntanda Ntambo

Bishop Ntambo is episcopal leader of the North Katanga Conference of the United Methodist Church in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This important guest will preach at all three worship services that morning.
Bishop Ntambo brings with him for this visit a delegation of 6 pastors and a spouse from the DRC.

The delegation has most recently been a part of the General Conference of the United Methodist Church that met in Fort Worth, Texas, the last two weeks of April.

In addition to the Sunday worship services
there will be two other opportunities for Epworth’s people to meet with Bishop Ntambo and the delegation.

Saturday evening, May 10, there will be a cookout and Sunday afternoon, May 11, following worship there will be a luncheon at the church at 12:30.  If you are interested in either opportunity, please call the church office by May 4.

Also, if you are able to help with transportation either May 10 (from Lima) or May 12 (to Bowling Green), please call the church office.

This is a line & spacer...nothing more!

May 11th at all three services—Pentecost Celebration, Mother’s Day recognitions and Bishop Ntambo will be our guest preacher at all three services.
May 18th Youth Sunday at all three services.
May 25th Memorial Sunday observances at all three services

Greetings from Epworth United Methodist Church,  where our doors are wide open to all people.  We believe that Christianity is first and foremost about relationships rather than rules. It is about the most important relationship of all - our relationship with God.   We hope you come and enjoy God’s loving presence during any of our three Sunday morning worship gatherings.

What visitors usually notice is that we are a large church with a large number of ministries that meet a wide range of needs.  But if you look closer, you’ll find that in many ways we’re small. In fact, we’re actually a network of small groups. If you’d like to develop authentic and enduring relationships with others, then you’ll be glad to know that new groups are forming all the time.

Together, we’re striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible—a church with relevant sermons, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need. In short, we’d like to have the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage the entire community, one life at a time.

Come, bring a friend and experience Christian community as we worship God in both traditional and contemporary styles.  You’ll find that Epworth is a place where you really matter—because you matter to God.

We look forward to meeting you this Sunday at Epworth.
