Children's Milestones

MILESTONES are workshops for each grade level, preschool thru sixth grade.  They are designed to teach a faith concept to children and their parents.  To sign up for any of the milestones, call the education office. Fourth Graders have experienced Bible Mania in October with their new Bibles. First Graders learned about baptism in November. Fifth Graders learned about stewardship, and what it means to be a good steward of the gifts that God has given us. On December 6, at 11:00, third graders and their parents are invited to attend their milestone, "Who is Jesus?" Sixth graders and their parents may attend the milestone January 10, during worship at 9:45. On January 24, second graders and their parents will learn about communion. On February 14, Kindergarten students and their parents will learn about prayer. Students who missed their milestone may attend a makeup session on March 14 at 11:00. All students who attend their milestone are invited to participate in the Children's Sabbath Service on March 21. They will be leading the congregation in worship, using what they have learned in their milestone. Preschoolers have their own milestone too. On May 2, they will jump into the Bible and experience Bible stories in unique ways. One year, we might jump into the Old Testament, and the next year, we might jump into the New Testament.
