Disciple I Bible Study

Christians are called daily to read and study the Bible, pray for others with special needs and meditate on God’s word for our individual lives.  If we have the support of other believers who are keeping the same disciplines, it is easier to keep our own commitments. You will read nearly 80 % of the entire Bible and will study all the major themes and topics in the text. You will grow in your faith as you read and study on your own (35-45 minutes daily) and as you participate with your fellow students during the weekly meetings (2 ½ hours).  A key element of the study is a weekly video segment presented by the best biblical scholars in the country.
 
To accommodate the most people, Pastor Thomas will be leading a group on Wednesday evenings from 6:30—9:00pm and another group on Thursday mornings from 9:30—Noon. The starting date is September 15 / 16.  The classes continue weekly through the middle of May.

Disciple III Remember Who You Are
Tuesdays 6:30 pm. – 9:00 p.m. beginning September 14

Several themes weave their way through the study: the call to remember, the call to repentance, the need for renewed vision (eyes to see, ears to hear), and the place of community. Disciple III concentrates on the Old Testament prophets and the letters of Paul. The prophets and Paul are continually calling hearers and readers back to their God and to a sense of who they are as a people “set apart.” Remember Who You Are is prepared for those who have completed Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study (Disciple I).  Cost of the manual is $35.00.  There are Disciple handouts under the clock in the narthex. Tuesday Morning Bible Study

Wednesday Morning Bible Study

Faithful, Abundant, True: Three Lives Going Deeper Still
This is a seven week study, led by Janice Harris, which is  DVD driven and featuring Kay Arthur, Priscilla Shirer, and Beth Moore.  In this study they challenge women to Faithfulness, to trust in God’s Abundance, and to grow in Discernment.   You will laugh and cry with them and learn to love God “Deeper Still”.   Daily workbook activities help to focus the spirit in each person while encouraging a “walk” of faithfulness, abundance and truth. 
This study will be held from 9:00  to 10:30 am.,  September 15 through November 3.
