November Activity
The crew will go bowling at Imperial Lanes on Sunday Nov. 18th from 3:00-5:00pm. Cost is $3.50 per game and $2.00 for shoes. Remember to bring extra money for snacks.
December- Christmas Party
The holiday party will be held at the Perrysburg Boat Club on Sunday Dec. 9th from 2:00-4:00 pm. Everyone is to bring some kind of finger food to share and a white elephant gift. Julie D. is to check on a family to support and we should have this information at the next meeting.
January – Ski Weekend
We will be skiing at Mad River Mountain Ski Resort in Bellefontaine, OH. As we have in the past we will be staying at Uncle Eric’s in Lima. The trip is planned for Jan 25th, 26th and 27th. Last year the cost for the trip was around $65. Everyone will need to bring sleeping bag, pillow, ski clothes & equipment (if you have your own) and overnight stuff.
February – Camp Alaska
This trip is planned for Feb. 9th and 10th. Each person will need to bring their own food and whatever they can carry into camp in one trip. Further information will be discussed at a later meeting.
Future Possible Activities
March - D Bar Ranch?
April – Possibly joining Temperance Venture Crew for horseback riding
May 18th – Rod Run
– Hiking at Oak Openings
Summer Trip – Appalachian Trail/ Washington DC
There was lots of enthusiastic discussion about our summer trip. Dave Dicke was in contact with the folks at Bear’s Den. We are hoping to use this as a starting base camp. The thought is to keep the hiking shorter due to the younger age of the crew members (and possibly older age of the adults!). It was discussed that we may want to spend 2 days in DC as many of the youth have never been there before and there is much to see and do at very little cost. We also talked about spending at least part of a day at Harper’s Ferry and there was a big interest in a raft trip as well. Date for the summer trip is July 26th (Sat)- August 2nd (Sat)
Fund Raising
Diane B. checked with the church and we should be allowed to have a car wash and or bake sale. We will need to come up with a date(s) so we can get on the church calendar. Diane B. will also check where water outlets are available.
