My name is Bob Thomas and I am the senior pastor at Epworth. I am so glad you are interested in knowing more about Epworth. Thank you for visiting our web site. Please visit Epworth in person. Our facility is in a parklike setting on the banks of the Ottawa River, just at the edge of Sylvania Township and Ottawa Hills on Central Avenue across from Wildwood Metro Park. Epworth is an active Christian community made up of folks of all age groups. The sermons are based on the Bible, our emphasis is on Missions and Christian Education for all ages. We have outstanding Youth, Young Adult and Family ministries. We have many groups for Senior Adults as well. We offer three worship services each Sunday morning. We begin each Sunday morning at 8:30 with worship that includes both traditional and upbeat music. This early morning worship includes the sacrament of Holy Communion every week. The 9:45 worship is our traditional worship service steeped in the warm-hearted Wesleyan tradition featuring our outstanding Chancel Choir and Cecil Baughman playing our 27 rank pipe organ. This is worship that ā€œSoars!ā€ The 11:00 contemporary worship features our talented Praise Band and worship leader Kyle Folger. The worship gathering is fast-paced and includes visuals to illustrate the Bible-based sermons.

The most important thing about Epworth is that it is a vibrant church with many programs, but retains a family atmosphere so each person can feel connected personally to God and connected to the caring community of faith.
